Hi, my name is Tayla Simek, and I’m 11 years old. I'm happy to have TLS's Booger as the #1 Top Lop. I love him so much. He has a great personality. He's always waiting at the front of his cage to get attention. Booger has the most amazing top line and depth I have ever seen on a rabbit. He went to his first show at 3 mos. Old and took 1st of 4. His second show was Holland Lop Nationals in PA, where at 4 mos. old he got BOV! It was my first national show. The next day he earned his very first BOB. At 1 1/2 he has earned 29 GC Legs Including 10 BOB, 5 BOS, 2 Best 4 class, and 2 Best In show.
Booger is out of 5Carrot's Acorn and Antonioni's Tally. Both are very beautiful Holland’s.
So, I want to thank Erica, Alyssa & Cathy Haglund for selling me my very first show buck. . I also want to thank Teri and Larissa Antonioni for the gift of Antonioni's Tally. She was a grumpy girl until her first litter, and then became as sweet as can be. Unfortunately we were never able to repeat the breeding as we lost Acorn in March.
I have been raising Holland’s for 2 ½ years and have enjoyed meeting many new friends. My mom was the person who originally named him. Booger’s name was originally supposed to be Kohana which meant ‘swift’. In Native American. But when he was a baby I always called him lil’ booger, because I thought that he acted like one! So now everybody knows him as Booger. So finally my mom gave in and started calling him booger. Of course she now says… He just had to become TOP LOP, featured in The Hollander and be named ‘BOOGER’!!

I was so happy to find out TLS's Booger is #1 Top Lop for the second year in a row. He's one of the sweetest rabbits you could have. Whenever I walk int he barn, he runs to the front of the cage looking for attention.
Booger will be turning 3 in December and has earned over 41 GC Legs including Best of Breed and Group at the ARBA convention last November. That was so exciting. His daughter Sydalee took first at Nationals this year as a Broken Senion Doe, but unfortunately we lost her shortly after convention. We are hopeful to get some great babies from him very soon. Booger is not a massive buck, but he is very balanced which is best quality. He also has great shoulders which my mom has taught me is the first thing she looks for in a good holland.
I would like to thank Teri Antonioni for the gift of Antonini's Tally and Erica & Alyssa & Cathy Haglund for 5 Carrots Acorn, Booger's parents. Both are great Hollands. I also want to thank Cathy Haglund for taking me to all the shows, since my mom's work schedule doesn't permit her to take me. I really appreciate that we found such great family to help me. I have made so many friends and that is waht makes showing & rainsing rabbits such a wonderful hobby.
I look forward to another great year of showing Hollands!
